Kunkel Joins Next Century as Executive Vice President
/ General Counsel
Reston, VA – April 16,
2003 – Next Century Technologies, Inc. of Reston, Virginia
announced today that it has added David N. Kunkel to its
management team as Executive Vice President and General
Counsel.
David Kunkel, during his
professional career of over thirty years, has been engaged
in domestic and international corporate counseling regarding
strategy and projects of major scope and technological
development. During his career as an attorney in private
practice with Nixon Hargrave Devans & Doyle LLP in
Rochester, New York (1971-1995), he was called on by
individual clients and consortia to provide not only
analytical legal services but also constructive corporate
and project advice concerning formation, management, and
strategy. His private practice background also included
substantial Intellectual Property work, including software
development and licensing, technology company development
and hospital and research counseling.
From June of 1995 to
August of 2000, Mr. Kunkel was a senior executive at PSINet,
one of the major Internet service providers in the world.
He was instrumental in building data and telecommunications
business on a global scale, creating and supervising the
team that closed over 75 acquisitions. Mr. Kunkel was
rapidly promoted and finished with the Company as Vice
Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice
President.
Mr. Kunkel received his
B.A. with High Honors from the University of Virginia and
LL.B. from the University of Pennsylvania. He served in the
Navy as an officer with both Line and JAG qualifications.
